Fans of the popular hotsauce Sriracha should be concerned. Not to the extent they should be concerned, say, about NSA spying on their internet habits, but concerned to the extent Sriracha figures into their eating habits.
From the Los Angeles Times, the local newspaper for the plant mentioned:
A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge Tuesday ordered a Sriracha hot sauce plant in Irwindale be partially shut down in response to odor complaints from nearby residents.
It’s not clear, the article adds, if the injunction issued will prevent the bottling of next year’s supply, but if this is a dietary staple you might want to stock up. Then again, there’s always Cholula as a fallback.
