Parsing Ryan’s Lies

Vice-Presidential candidate has established himself as a liar* right out of the gate, and since we have some time before we vote we might oughtta take a try at winnowing something useful out of his lies.

So, if asked about his personal best time running a marathon, when the candidate says “I had a two hour and fifty-something” we should take that to mean “I may have once run a marathon and I’m better than you”, with the unspoken sub-text being always “I’m a liar”.

*(To place Ryan’s lies in context we should remember the ancient joke:
Q: How can you tell if a politician is lying?
A: His lips are moving.)
